Considering in Radiant Historias case that the extra content is coming after the game was released so its no different then buying expansions for PC games back in the day. Repetitive area, you won't explore a lot of new places I would not say this is an underrated gem, but it's a good JRPG. In my eyes both games are complete and the DLC is extra content. +Character are likable +battle system is easy to grasp -Rather short for JRPG -poor environment, low effort graphic for a remaster. +Music is good +Story is captivating, despite being political fiction non-stop. The difficulty is on the lower side for Atlus title so don't hesitate to play on hard or maybe deadly. The time travel system is easy to grasp and become second nature pretty quickly even if I have to say you can get a bit lost trying to found out exactly the quest you want, or looking back for certain thing. The story is tight and captivating, the game does not rely too much on classic cliche, and the battle system is simple but with enough depth to play around. Never played the original, this is a fairly Solid JRPG from all I have played so far. The collectible artbox and extra pieces that came with Radiant Historia for the 3DS. Whether or not Radiant Historia needed a re-release, and even if the new story content is a bit superfluous, the core of the game is as wonderful as it was before.
